Armanet père et fille
Juliette Armanet (b:1984), was raised with 2 older brothers in a family of booksellers with musical leanings. Her father Jean-Pierre was also a composer and jazz pianist who released his first album (“Nuages”) in 2024 at age 73.
Although born near the city of Lille in northern France, Juliette enjoys spending time at her parents’ home in the town of Lannion, on the pink-granite coast of northwest Brittany where they find solice in the rugged environment to foster creativity.

Juliette released her first song in 2014 following early years of study in theater arts and work as a journalist and in documentary film-making. She has become a rising talent who customarily composes both the music and lyrics for her songs, thereby qualifying as an ACI artist (“auteur-compositeur-interprète”) with the piano as her signature instrument. Armanet claims as salient musical influences both Michel Berger and Véronique Sanson as well as Barbara, Alain Souchon and William Sheller.

"Imagine"
In 2014, she participated in the “InRocks Lab” competition for emerging young talent, (sponsored by “Lesinrockuptibles” magazine and festival). Her first album (“Petite amie”) in 2017 earned recognition in 2018 at the "Victoires de la Musique” ceremony as the “Revelation Album of the Year” along with its lead single “L’amour en solitaire.” In 2018, she gained attention for her cover of “Les moulins de mon coeur” (“The Windmills of Your Mind”) in homage to composer Michel Legrand at the Cannes Film Festival. We feature these two songs on this website. Her second album (“Bruler le feu”) was released in 2021 and again with additional tracks in 2022. In July 2024, she performed in the rain at the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony. She sang a cover of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's 1971 song “Imagine” with pianist Sofiane Pamart playing a piano set afire on a barge in the Seine River.
